Brews at the Red Park Pub in Glen NH

What's on tap at the Red Parka Pub and Steakhouse?  Local brews, not so local brews, craft brews and other brews.  They're taps are constantly rotating so there's always something new and interesting to try.

The bartenders are always friendly and will serve you up something cold and frosty with a smile - whether your pleasure is beer or a cocktail or whatever strikes your fancy.  Jerry's Bloody Mary's rock!  And their martinis and margaritas are potent and delicious.

Of course, I got beer.  This visit I tried a couple new somethings and a couple old favorites.

Mojo India Pale Ale (IPA) by Boulder Beer Company (7.20% ABV) Is a bright golden yellow.  The aroma is big on citrus and floral hops.  The taste is a burst of hops on the front end with a hint of malt poking around in there.  The finish is clean and a little bitter. Bright and refreshing.  Overall: very good.

Boathouse Brown Ale (4.20% ABV) by Sebago Brewing is a dense and dark with awesome lacing.  The aroma is amazing - tantalizing malt and hazelnut.  Very warm and friendly.  The taste is light and nutty with a nice solid malt backbone.  This brew is not particularly bold but it's tasty and very drinkable.  I like it!  Overall: very good.

Long Trail Ale (4.60% ABV) by Long Trail Brewing is a clear amber.  The aroma is caramel malty goodness.  This is a great beer for anyone - not too bitter, not to sweet.  Just a nice balance of flavors that is simply a pleasure to drink.  Overall: very good.

Switchback Ale by Switchback is a clear beautiful reddish gold.   The taste is perfectly refreshing; not overly hoppy, clean and fresh tasting with a nice malty flavor on the tail end.   It wasn't in-yer-face remarkable but overall it yummy and very drinkable.  I like it!

Oh!  And if you love ribs and steaks make sure you try them at the Red Parka!  Nom!
