Snowdrift Vanilla Porter

Cold beer, hot wings, and holiday cheer. Yup, my favorite bar - Porky's Cafe - has it all.

Frankly, I don't know what's hotter - the wings or the beertenders. What I do know is that I can almost always count on there being a new-to-me beer on tap. Usually, a seasonal; this week a winter ale from Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing.

Snowdrift Vanilla Porter (6% ABV) was served in an imperial pint. It pours a dark brown with a dense creamy head that leaves moderate lacing.

The aroma is roasty malt with vanilla and some cocoa.

The taste is lovely! The mildly bitter roasted malt goes perfectly with the warm flavors of vanilla bean and chocolate. The finish is slick and malty.

The mouthfeel is medium with creamy carbonation.

Snowdrift Vanilla Porter is a delicious brew. Cozy, smooth, and perfect for the season!

Overall: very good
